Abdet Costa Blanca News Feb 2006

Spring has arrived in Abdet and the Almond blossom is just about to light up the mountain terraces. With the longer days we have also seen more evidence of wild boar on the hills around Abdet, and we came across the rather large toad shown below!

The last of the winters snows are now melting from the nearby summits and the temperatures are ideal for walks, long or short. It's also good to note the the local stream (Barranco de Meli) is flowing fully again after a very dry Autumn.

We now have over 45 local rock climbing routes from easy to challenging, all in superb settings. There are also many more new routes at Guadalest, just a short drive away.

Below are some recent pictures just to give a flavour of the area at this time of year. In Particular the sunrises are often accompanied by a sea of cloud in the valley bottoms, very spectacular!

We do have some space left in our houses, so just reply to this email if you want to know specific availability.
